What's the biggest gym chain?

Its 400+ clubs can be found in 17 states (as well as in Asia as “California Fitness clubs”). Now that James and I travel so often, we've tried to decide if committing to a gym chain would make more sense for us as well. Since I have a lot of tank tops with straps (and I have Lunk Alarm Phobia), if we commit to a chain, we would go for Anytime Fitness. Snap Fitness is a 24-hour entry franchise operation with a bathroom, but not as prolific as Anytime Fitness.

My supplemental health insurance pays 100%. Sometimes I haven't liked the way LA Fitness manages its facilities, but its pools and group fitness (yoga) rooms are significantly better and larger than 24 Hour Fitness, which focuses more on machines. Once I read an article about Anytime Fitness, they were full-time Class B retirees and they like Anytime Fitness because they could shower there. I think our next time we will give Anytime Fitness a try.

We belong to 24 Hour Fitness and there are offers to reduce the cost. We purchased a 24-month membership through Costco, which is a good deal, but the downside is that you pay the full amount up front. They offer Sport and Super-Sport memberships. Before two years, gyms around the world faced shutdowns due to lockdown, Anytime Fitness was quick to understand and bounce with its online solution, the AF Workouts app, for its fitness fanatics.

If you're new to the world of fitness and feel intimidated by gyms, Planet Fitness is a great place to get your feet wet.
